Great pizza The mussels are a dream

The Schäferstube makes the best pizza far and wide for me. However, it is rather thick and strong and not typically Italian. But it still tastes like it did in my youth. The pasta dishes and salads are also delicious. The dishes are simple but well stocked. You don't come here to eat fine. It is rustic. The tone is also rustic. Those who are sensitive or are looking for fine food should go elsewhere. It is delicious and plentiful. Sky runs here. When important soccer games take place (Eintracht or Champions League) the shop is packed and the waiting times are immense. The innkeepers have been here for 50 years. I hope the institution will stay if you don't want or can't anymore. Schäferstube Forever!

I really want to give this place a good review but, unfortunately, I can't. The place looks nice and clean, the food is GREAT, the prices are all right. BUT. The old woman that is serving has been extremely rude to us EVERY. SINGLE. TIME we went there. The first time, I thought she was just having a bad day. The second time, I took my wife and the bad experience happened again. Despite that, we decided to go back a couple more times, even bringing our daughter with us, and every time it got worse. To be noted that while my daughter is still small, she is a quiet child and she did NOTHING that would have bothered anyone. Also, both my wife and myself are understanding and patient people, not easily offended. Yet somehow that woman still managed to pick on our daughter, talked to us rudely for absolutely no reason, and finally managed to aggravate my wife and ruin our whole evening. Too bad about this place. With a decent server that can actually be polite and respectful to the clients, this would be a really nice place to get to feel and meet the local community. So, to sum up, while the food *would* deserve 5 stars, the insults and the rudeness bring the experience down to 1 star. Despite my bad experience, I am really trying to be as objective as I possibly can - and will still rate this place 3 stars, althoug with things being as they are at the moment, they definitely don't deserve them.

Pizza like in Italy. By far the best pizza in Maintal! However, the ambience is not very nice. Outside, you sit on the road on uncomfortable plastic chairs. The service could be a bit more on the ball and a little friendliness would be appropriate. What is not at all that the boss goes during normal opening hours in the wholesale to buy drinks. And you get said you would have to wait half an hour now because nobody could make the pizza. Absolute no-go !!!

I Love it

We were the first time in the inn 'Zur Schäferstube' eat .. It is quaint, a rustic eatery with a mega cool innkeeper. We both had a hamburger schnitzel with chips and salad..It tasted like a schnitzel to taste, just delicious .. There are also football games transmitted, as a flat-screen on the wall hangs .. Toilet clean. If you want to eat in a typical Frankfurt eatery, you do not smoke in the Schäferstube. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures, just convince yourself, and go there personally.

all half-timbered house in the village. Old "pub" not a real restaurant. The lasagna and the pizza are among the best I know. So recommended for the food, otherwise not. Typical village pub, but important for the local character. That's the way it was - that's it.

Today for the second time here. Ate pizza once and rigattone today. Both were very good and the size was hard to conquer. The prices are more than fair. All in all a real insider tip 👍

Rustic ambience when visiting some tables, not bad at all! The waiting time that followed was already known to me. And was absolutely not disappointed with the order, optically a top-class pizza that couldn't be better in terms of taste. In addition, the price of the absolute hammer super friendly service, so I imagine a nice evening that I will now spend saturated. Thank you very much :-)
